Who this is for
You must be a professional tattoo artist who earns income from tattooing. Owning a tattoo machine or tattooing only as a hobby is not enough. Theo reviews your professional experience and portfolio before approving the exchange.
Bus trips · Tattoo artist work trade
Bring your art. Join the adventure.
A relaxed, free-flowing exchange: an agreed tattoo for Theo in return for your bus trip, with optional tattoos for the community at friendly prices.
The exchange
As the guest tattoo artist on an approved bus trip, you exchange a tattoo for Theo equal in value to the trip price. Agree with Theo on the design, value, placement, and timing before the trip.
Keep it free flowing
You can offer as many or as few tattoos to fellow travelers as you want. Keep prices friendly and reasonable, agree on the price with each person beforehand, and make the workspace positive, welcoming, and fun. There is no guest tattoo quota or guaranteed income.
Make time for Theo’s tattoo
You may arrange to arrive a day early or stay a day late to give Theo’s tattoo enough time. Confirm the timing and any extra-day accommodation or costs with Theo beforehand.
Theo provides
A stencil printer, stencil paper, paper towels, Bactine, and gloves. Confirm availability and suitability with Theo before packing.
You bring
Your tattoo machine, ink, ink caps, and any other supplies you need to maintain professional standards.
Bring your flash
A big flash book is highly encouraged. Custom bus-themed flash would be especially welcome so travelers can choose a design made for this experience.
Consent, care, and trip rules
You are responsible for maintaining all professional tattooing standards and meeting applicable local requirements. Respect consent and boundaries, keep the workspace positive, and follow the trip rules.
Get the arrangement approved
Log in to your traveler portal and open Portfolio files to optionally upload examples of your professional tattoo work. You can also update your portfolio link in your application. Theo personally approves the artist and the exchange before the trip. Applying expresses interest; it does not confirm an artist spot or trip acceptance.
